Scrapping The Music Challenge & more New LOs

Finished this one for the current Scrapping The Music Challenge. My daughter's friend, Markie, came for an overnight visit and my daughter took some quick pictures. I loved the purple bow that her friend wore and used it as inspiration for a large purple bow on the layout. I never scrap the color purple and a large bow is another rare item for me in scrapping. I also made this layout for Jenn's "Walk The Plank" Challenge at Treasured Scrapbooking's "X Marks The Spot" crop currently going on now.

Here are some more layouts I've made for that crop:

The design of this layout was inspired by Cathy La Hay's "Change" layout. I loved the simplicity and the border ribbon she used at an angle. I went with a border of punched edge patterned paper. This is my daughter and niece having a quick devotional on Mother's Day. I RAN for my camera so I could catch that special moment on film. I love it when I nab photos like this. No planning. No expectations. Just spur of the moment pictures that are priceless. The journaling was written while I was a work.

I printed a couple of pictures today of my Godson's baptism. He's also my nephew. He was baptised in July in Mexico. I had so much fun visiting my family and home during my vacation. For this challenge, I had to use the color red, a clock, and black swirls or flourishes. I layered three rows of lace for a border and overlapped the cursive black thickers for my title. I loved the Jolee's baptism layette and thought it made a nice embellishment on top of the chipboard clock.

Here's another baptism layout. I used up some stickers from my very "old" stash by applying the title sticker onto chipboard, cutting it out, and adhering it with dimensional tabs. The mesh angel wings were also from my "old" stash and I thought the yellow rub-on flourishes helped freshen and update them a little. I added some stitching to the Basic Grey rub-on corners and just doodled on the foam American Crafts stars. I loved the triple layer of lace so much that I did it again. Each layer is stitched on individually. The bingo card and star patterned paper are both from Jenni Bowlin.

Here are some more recent layouts that I haven't yet posted:
