Layouts From the Crop:

The YMBD Winter Online Crop was a huge success!! Here are a few layouts I made during the crop:

"LOVE"

"6 IN BLOOM"

"FORKS"

"Letter to Suegra"

"Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"

"Best Friends are Angels"

"Valentine Wish List"

"faith in all things SPARKLY"

"Dady"

Here are a few cards that I made during the crop:

I completed 18 layouts (two of which were double pagers), 6 cards, and one mini-album in just 3 days!!! I was so proud of myself in getting so much accomplished in such a short time. It's very hard to put a lot of detail in each page when you're rushed. I have submitted some of these layouts to some February Challenges on Tresured Scrapbooks.com and on SB.com. I had a ball!!!

Incredible RAK Give-Away:

Kim Dellow is giving away an AWESOME prize packet. Just spread the word about her RAK on your blog and post a comment on her blog thread. Click on the title of this post to check out the picture. Caution: grab a towel because you will drool..lol.

Finally finished a layout:

I made this for Challenge #20 "Use Your Stash" over at Dream Girls (their link is listed under my "Blogs That Inspire Me" and you can also click on the title to this post). The challenge was to use patterned papers that were older than six months, use a paper tearing technique and use the title "I'm Not...". All of these patterned papers are far older than six months and the SHY alpha's are several YEARS old..lol. I saw the painted and stitched edges in the layout "Best Buds" by Suzy Plantamura and had to give it a try. Suzy added sequins to the stitched border but I went with black brads so I could turn them into musical notes. My paper tearing is actually my photo paper..lol. I tore and ripped the edges of my pic. I wanted to keep straight lines on the border strips and I used the Martha Stewart embossed edge punch for the BG paper.

I also went shopping at my favorite vintage store again but it's late so I'll post pics tomorrow.

I'm a little worried because my camera is not working properly. It works but you can't see anything on the display screen. I think maybe the flash or light that makes it work is shot or something. If anyone has had this happen to your camera, please give me a comment and help me figure out what this is. I'm hoping it's something simple since it does work.

Thanks!
Nik

More Layouts:

Finished this one today for YMBD's Saturday Lift Challenge. It's not an exact lift but I tried my best to stick with the design as much as I could. DT member Julie provied the inspiration with her layout "Love You." The calendar and journaling tag are both YMBD products.

On this layout, I thought the staples and stitching tied in nicely with the theme of the layout. Poor baby. She was so sick. I used up a lot of scraps on this layout so that's always a plus. Hope you guys are having a wonderful night!

Stay warm,
Nik

Click on this title to go to Irene's (Scrapperlicious) blog to learn more about the Clear Scraps Mini Acrylic Give Away. These little albums are adorable and you can win some by spreading the word of the contest. Irene is a DT member with Clear Scraps and you should see the awesome work she does with their products!!

Here is a recent layout I finished today for another example of my Rub-On Challenge I host at SB.com:

I am hoping to do more scrapping tonight. I was suppose to be working overtime tonight but was called at the last minute (just as I was about to walk out the door to leave) and told I wasn't needed. Now my daughter wants me to go to the movies with her and her boyfriend so they can watch the R-rated horror movie, My Bloody Valentine. YUK! I'm hoping I can worm my way out of it and just stay home and scrap.
